Description

Red gasket maker tube designed to replace cork, felt, rubber and asbestos gaskets. Withstand temperatures up to 250°C. Excellent chemical resistance to mineral oil, petrol, transmission fluid, antifreeze, alcohols, dilute acids, and alkalis, soaps and household detergents. Resistant to UV radiation, weathering and ageing. Excellent adhesive on non-porous surfaces where an elastic gap-filling bond is required. Non-sag rheology and can be applied to vertical surfaces. Not suitable for cylinder head gaskets or parts permanently exposed to fuel. Exercise caution with certain metals like mild steel, lead, copper, tin, galvanized iron, brass, or zinc, as it may cause corrosion. Avoid using it on the back of mirrors, as it can de-silver the mirror backing. Will not adhere to some plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene and teflon. Ideal for automotive applications, industrial use, construction, plant pipe, housing gaskets, chimneys, heaters, oven installation and repairs.
