316L Stainless steel electrode 316L, also known as E316L-16, is a type of welding electrode specifically designed for welding austenitic stainless steel. Low carbon rutile-coated electrode that is suitable for welding horizontal, vertical (uphill) and overhead positions, except vertical down. General-purpose welding of 300 series austenitic stainless steels, such as 301, 303, 304, and 304L types. Austenitic stainless steels are non-magnetic and offer excellent corrosion resistance, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, including food processing equipment, chemical processing plants, and architectural structures. Conforms to several specifications, including AWS/ASME SFA 5.4 and DIN 8556 E19 12 3 LR 26.
