E308L-16 Stainless steel electrode 308L is a type of electrode used for welding stainless steel. Designed for welding 19Cr10Ni type steels, which include various stainless steel grades such as 201, 202, 301, 302, 304L and 308 in applications where corrosion resistance is required. Rutile coated electrode providing a smooth arc and stable welding characteristics. Low carbon used for welding stainless steel to avoid issues like carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion. Suitable for welding horizontal, vertical (uphill) and overhead positions, except vertical down. Meets the standards of AWS/ASME SFA 5.4 and is classified as E308L-16. Conforms to the DIN 8556 E19 19 LR 26 standard.
