Description
Heat treated Augerbit scotch eye. Coated with anti-corrosive oil. Two cutting edges and spurs. Bore holes in timber by hand operation where there is no electrical power. It is great for drilling holes in thatch poles to insert threaded rods. Branch or dowel is inserted in the eye of the auger to become the handle to turn the auger drill bit by hand. The pilot guide is threaded to ‘pull’ the drill bit into the wood. The cutting edge forms part of the auger helix to assist the drill bit with the removal of shavings. Ideal for all types of soft wood.
