Description
The flaw and crack detector system consists of three components that work together to detect flaws and cracks on the metal surfaces. Essential to use no.1 cleaner, no.2 penetrant and no.3 developer for optimal results. Provides a fast, economical and reliable method of visually detecting surface defects in metal components. Suitable for all Metals, including aluminum, nickel, stainless steel and titanium. When the system is applied to the metal surface, cracks appear as red lines and porous areas are indicated by red pinpoints. Ideal for weld inspection, incoming materials inspection, quality control and general engineering purposes. IMPA: 45 06 30. Cleaner no.2 used at ambient temperature before liberally spraying the area, allowing 5 minutes contact time and up to 20 minutes for very fine cracks. Effective penetrant carries red dye into the flaws that are initially unnoticeable. Ensure cracks and flaws are detected which is easily visible under natural or artificial light. Wipe off excess from surface with no.1 cleaner and an absorbent lint-free cloth until no further penetrant is evident on the cloth.
